Sarah Mae Vincent Headrick departed this earth for her heavenly home on Friday, January 5, 2017 at 5:40 PM at Regency Park. She was born in Fairmount, GA, June 6, 1922.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Linton Stephens and Nannie Ophelia Vincent of Fairmount, GA. and her seven brothers: Autrell, Hicks, George, Dorsey, Bostic, Ralph, and Dean Vincent.
She is survived by her children: Janelle Douglas (WC) of Dalton, GA, Lynda Sattler (Jim) of Chattanooga, TN and LaDane Headrick(Deena) of Cohutta, GA. Three grandchildren, Patrick Douglas (Lyn) of Dalton, GA, Gary Ray Chapman of Spring City, TN and Krista Chapman Nix (Patrick) Scottsboro, AL and step-granddaughters Danielle Maples Haynes (Dean); Christina Sattler of Southport, England and step-grandson: Joshua Sattler of Tacoma, WA, eight great grandchildren: Walt Douglas, Will Douglas, Haley Chapman, Canaan Chapman, Emma Grace Nix, Bo Nix, Caleb Nix, Sara Nix, a special devoted niece: Susan Headrick Jewell (Jon), a great granddaughter's mother: Selina Chapman; special friend: Glo Shoates (Mike) and family.
She was a member of Rock Bridge Church where she attended with her
special neighbor and friend Carolyn Mize.
After retirement from the carpet industry she worked 22 years at Wal-mart, making many friends as a door greeter. The last two years of her life was spent at Regency Park where she made many friends, with patients and their families, as well as the wonderful caring staff of Regency Park. She had many fruitful years and touched a lot lives, young and old.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, January 8 at 2:00 PM at Shawn Chapman Funeral Home 2362 Hwy 76 Chatsworth GA 30705. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM.
