Wylene Rebecca (Hall) Richards

Wylene Rebecca (Hall) Richards went home to be with the Lord on September 09, 2023, surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Del Richards, Sr., and parents Eugene and Irene Hall, and sisters Mattie Alice Hall and Kassie Caldwell.

She graduated from North Whitfield High School in 1958 and spent most of her career as a secretary at Northwest Elementary, Chatsworth Chamber of Commerce, and Amoco Fabric and Fibers. She loved her family and committed her life to never missing her children’s activities and making sure they were raised to love Jesus. She loved her 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lucretia and David Wilkins, sons and daughters-in-laws Del and Holly Richards, Ryan and Donna Richards, all of Dalton, and daughter and son-in-law Leigh Ann and Greg Shoemaker of Chatsworth. Grandchildren: Josh and Amy Wilkins, Dylan and Macie Richards, Kaylie Richards, Hannah and Jared Peden, Emileigh Shoemaker, Kyle Shoemaker, Maddie and Chris Roberts, Sara and Ben Hudson, Megan and Jacob Sexton, Kobe Richards, Jon Richards, Alex Richards, Josie Richards, Jace Richards, Xavier Wofford. Great-grandchildren: Samuel and Amelia Peden, Ruth Ann and Teddy Richards, Duncan Roberts, Asher Lindsey, Wrenly, and Remi Sexton, and Brooks Wilkins. Sister and brother-in-law Charlie and Gene Peters of Dalton, brother, and sister-in-law Randy and Treasia Hall of Dalton, Brother-n-law, James Caldwell of Birmingham, Alabama, brother-in-law, Jimmy Richards of Dalton, brother-n-law and sister-n-law Randall and Virginia Richards of Chatsworth, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Shawn Chapman Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. The family will receive friends from 12-4 with the funeral to follow at 4:00 pm. CH(1LT) Dylan Richards will be officiating the service. The interment will be at Sumach Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery.
