Wylene Sexton Johns, age 85 of Resaca went home to be with the Lord on December 12, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pearl Sexton; sister Bonnie McBrayer; brother Ervin Sexton; and three infant siblings.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years Isaac Johns; sister Jean Taylor; children Doyle(Mary Ann) Johns, Perry(Pam) Johns, and Phillip(Brandy) Johns; grandchildren Heather Smith, Hannah Duncan, Anthony, Justin, and Joseph Johns, Avery Johns, and Amber Davis; 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She has been a faithful pastor’s wife for 62 years and a great mom, mother-in-law, and grandmother.

A service to honor the life of Wylene Johns will be held December 14, 2024 at 2 pm at Canaanland Baptist Church with pastor Chris Corbin, pastor Isaac Johns, Avery Johns and Doyle Johns officiating. The family will receive friends before the funeral service from 12 pm to 2 pm. The family will also receive friends at Shawn Chapman Funeral Home on December 13, 2024 from 6 pm to 9 pm. The interment will be at Canaanland Baptist Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Canaanland Christian School.
