Mr. William (Bud) Robert Robinson age 88, of Spring Place Georgia passed away
peacefully and went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2024, at Advent
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Jeanetta Davis Robinson, mom and
dad, John Walton & Fannie Jones Robinson, his brothers, Tarver, Luther (Bunk)
and Jack Robinson, his sisters Audrey Euton, Claire Ellis, and Betty Robinson.
Bud is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Robinson of Spring Place, his sons
Robert (Laura) Robinson of Cedar Key, Florida, and Charlie (Sharon) Robinson of
Chatsworth. He is also survived by his granddaughters Jessi (Dale) and Amanda
and great-grandchildren Brighton and Brooks Stone. A special niece Jean Pitts and
dear friends Eva and Carlos Cortes and Martha and Jimmy Rampley. Bud is also
survived by several beloved nieces and nephews.
After serving proudly in the United States Army, he returned state-side where he
worked numerous years in the textile industry as a mechanic. He met and married
the love of his life, Jeanetta Lee Davis. They lived in the Spring Place and
LaFayette areas for the rest of their lives while raising their three children. He was
an active member of Flags Across Murray and the Spring Place Ruritan Club.
Services to honor the life of Mr. Robinson will be graveside at the Spring Place
Cemetery Sunday, January 28th at 2:00 pm with Tim Howard and Chuck Smith
officiating. The family will receive friends at the Shawn Chapman Funeral Home
on Saturday, January 27 from 5 to 8 pm. Flowers are being accepted or donations
can be made to the Spring Place Cemetery Fund (329 Highway 225 South
