Walter "Junior" Chapman, age 94, of Chatsworth,  went home to be with the Lord on November 7, 2024. He attended Casey Springs Community Church for years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Edith Bramblett Chapman; his precious granddaughter Tonya, parents, Walter and Beatrice Brindle Chapman; brothers, John, Arthur(Charlotte), Horace(Faye), and Ernest: sisters,  Mabel Irene,  Anna Belle, Gladys(Jim) Mashburn, and Polly(Keith) Bond; nephews, Shawn Chapman, Bobby Chapman, Billy Chapman, and Jerry Mashburn: step brothers and sisters, Albert "Snooks" Defoor, Kenneth "Bo" Defoor, Thomas "Tinker" Defoor, Mazie Defoor Stansell, Madge Defoor Fleming, and Virginia Defoor Smith.

He is survived by his son, Creed(Mia) Chapman; sister-in-law, Janell Chapman; step-sister, Eleanor Defoor Silvers:  nephews, Ricky(Melanie) Chapman; and nieces, Vickey {Greg} Phillips, Felicia Henson, and Shelby Mashburn. Many cousins and friends also survive.

A service to honor the life of  Walter "Junior " Chapman will be at 7 PM on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home With Rev. Randall Fouts officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 2 pm to 7 pm. The interment will be at Casey Springs Community Church Cemetery on Wednesday, November 13,2024.at 11 AM,
