Velrece Moran Lifsey, 84, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away on April 30, 2026.
A native of Shiloh, Georgia and a longtime resident of Chatsworth, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Paul Moran and Mary Louise Phillips.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry L. Lifsey.
Mrs. Lifsey was a retired elementary school teacher. She was a member of the Faith Worship Center.
Survivors include her son Andrew Lifsey and daughter-in-law, Dorie Richardson Lifsey of Allen, Texas, and son Patrick Lifsey of Ellijay, Georgia.
Grandchildren: Grace and Jack Lifsey of Allen, Texas and Logan Lifsey, Gabe Lifsey, and Gia Lifsey of Ellijay, Georgia.
One sister, Sue Bowden of Atlanta, Georgia, one brother, Kelly Moran of Shiloh, Georgia and one deceased sister, Charlene Royal.
Sister-in-law, Pat Lifsey of Rome, Georgia, nieces and nephews, Robin Lawler, Sue Sikes, Jerry Wayne Lifsey, Donald Gilbert, John Lawler, Jake Lawler, Michael Bowden, Alicia Evans, Shelby Howell, Matthew Lifsey, and Michael Lifsey.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home located at 2362 Highway 76, Chatsworth, Georgia 30705, with Reverend Ron Smith officiating. A graveside service will follow with family and close friends.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 16, 2026 with the service following at the funeral home.
