Shirley Ann Hurst, age 75, of Chatsworth, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 20, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Julia Rogers; brothers Vernon, Gene, Leslie, and Henry Rogers; and sisters Doris Rogers Chadwick and Geraldine Rogers Gentry.
She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Hurst, of 57 years; son, Scott (April) Hurst, grandchildren, Katie Hurst Graham, Noah Hurst, Sophie Hurst, Taylor Dean, Summer, and Brittany Rayfield, great-great-grandchildren, Charlie Graham, Emberly Wise, Paisley Bowe, and Tessa Cornette; brothers, Donald and Larry Rogers; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also
survive.
A service to honor Shirley Hurst's life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Zion Hill Baptist Church, with Rev. George Ross and Curt Thomason officiating. She will lie in state from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. The interment will be in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
