Sherry Lynn Childers Obituary

Sherry Childers ,age 61 of Crandall Georgia went home to be with the Lord on August 5th 2024.

Sherry was loved by all who knew her. She was known for her ability to make people laugh and knew not to take things too seriously and when to. She doesn’t leave behind anything because she said it and lived it while she was here. She dedicated her life to showing her children and grandchildren how much she loved them and how to love. She made sure to show up for every event and to show her support. She always made sure to let her children know how proud she was of them. She loved to be a mama and nana and her love was so abundant that she had bonus children (too many to list and you know who you are). She always said we were her guardian angels and now she is ours.

Sherry is proceeded in death by her mother Peggy Fowler.

She is survived by her father Millard Brickle of Virginia her children Patricia Laney (Michael Hopkins) and James (Valerie) Laney all of Crandall. Her grandchildren Jeremiah Laney, Abira Laney, Nevaeh Laney, Easton Laney and Kyson Hopkins. Her sisters Louise Brickle and Vickie Brickle along with several nieces and nephews.

A small memorial will be held to celebrate the life of Sherry at the family’s discretion.

Arrangements are made with integrity by Shawn Chapman Funeral home.
