Rembert Ingle Obituary

Mr. Rembert Walter Ingle, age 84, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Ingle was a member of the Spring Place Ruritan club and a member of the Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church. He retired from Beaulieu of America after 32 years and after that he co-owned Ingles Sales.

Rembert loved to travel and to fish.

Preceded in death by his wife, Mozelle Ingle, parents Ruben and Fannie Young Ingle, and brother J.C. Ingle.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Ingle, children, and spouses Judy Foster of Dalton, Tammie and Tim Bagley of Dalton, Vince and Jennifer Ingle of Chatsworth; step-children and spouses, Missy and Tim Powers, Ricky and Becky Jackson, and Brent and Brenda Jackson all of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Samantha, Melinda, Blake, Brandy, Zack, Jordan, Logan, Peyton, and Nicholas; 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. 

The family greatly appreciates the wonderful care that was provided by Amedisys Hospice and a very special thank you to the CNA's Brandy, Karen, Debbie, Tina, Christy, Angela, Brenda, and Tammy.

The Funeral Service for Mr. Ingle will be Monday, August 30, 2021, at 2 pm in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Ronald Guffey and Tim Powers officiating. Interment will be in the Spring Place Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, August 29, 2021, from 5 pm to 9 pm, and on Monday, August 30, 2021, from 1 pm to 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Spring Place Ruritan Club.
