Raymond Cleve "Beaver" Watkins Obituary

Raymond Cleve "Beaver" Watkins, age 60, of Chatsworth, passed away peacefully at his home after a courageous fight with cancer on August 31,


He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond C. Watkins, and his grandparents. Louise and Cle Lowery; brother, Steven Daniel Kyle; uncle, Vernon Lowery; aunt, Sue Lowery.


He is survived by his daughter, Carmenthia “Kitty” Fraire; son, Anthony Watkins (Kayla); sister, Janice Swallows (Denver); girlfriend, Sheena Steele; mother, Frances Coffee (Johnny); and grandchildren, Jada, Eric, Isiah, Micah, Hunter, and Dean. Several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles survive.


His passions were driving a truck, hunting, and fishing. He was a firecracker, and he never met a stranger.


The service to honor the life of Raymond Watkins will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Billy Starks officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Interment will be at Center Hill Cemetery.
