Pauline Dillard Obituary

Pauline Cricket Dillard, age 85, of Dalton, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023.

Cricket was of the Methodist Faith. She started playing the piano at the age of fourteen and played in numerous churches for 67 years. She has played the piano for two different churches during Sunday services for several years.
 
She is predeceased by her husband, R.L. Dillard; son Bobby Dillard; parents, Virgil and Magdaline Dean Brock; sisters, Bertha Lee Thornton, Minnie Duncan, Dessie McCurdy, Beatrice Kilgore; mother-in-law Pauline Dickson Dillard; father-in-law Earl Dillard. 

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Kelly Dillard; daughter, Brenda Horton, both of Armurchee; daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Ray Morgan of Dalton; daughter-in-law Ellen Dillard; sisters, Isabell Gilbert and Lois Patterson; grandchildren and spouses, Ashley and Andrew Hoban, G.W. and Tiffany Horton, Anthony and Renae Dillard, Felicia Dorgham, Richard “Bubba” and Shannon Rogers, Rodney and Tiffanie Rogers, Emily Rogers, Brock Dillard, Maggie Dillard, Clay and Jessica Sutton, Kyle Sutton; eighteen great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother in law Junior McCurdy; sister in laws, Margaret Todd, Morrean Dillard, Carolyn Dillard, and Sue Dillard; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. 

A service to honor the life of Cricket Dillard will be 4 pm Thursday, April 20, 2023, in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Pastor Gordon DeLashmitt officiating. The interment will be in the Brock Cemetery (Pine Grove). The family will be receiving family and friends at the funeral home on April 20, 2023, from 2 pm to 4 pm. The family respectfully requests that no food be brought to the funeral home. Please apply the rules of social distancing.
