Mrs. Pauline (Polly) Chapman Bond, age 91, of Dalton, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018.
Polly was born on March 18, 1927, to Walter and Beatrice Brindle Chapman in Murray County. She worked many years at Gordo Bedspread Company and Brown Printing.
She is preceded in death by spouse: Keith Bond, parents: Walter and Beatrice Brindle Chapman, brothers and sisters in law: John, Arthur and Charlotte, Horace and Faye, Ernest Chapman, Anna Belle, and Mable Chapman , sister and brother in law: Gladys and Jim Mashburn, sister in law: Edith Chapman, nephews: Bobby Chapman and Jerry Mashburn, great nephew: Ralph Chapman. Stepmother, Beatrice Defoor Chapman, Stepbrother, Albert "Snooks" Defoor, Stepsisters, Virginia Smith. Mazie Stancill and Madge Fleming.
She is survived by one brother: Walter "Junior" Chapman of Chatsworth, sister in law: Janell Chapman of Dalton, stepsister Elizabeth Silvers of Calhoun and a stepbrother Bo Defoor of Ooltawah, TN, nieces and nephews : Vickie and Greg Phillips of Morris Town, IN, Felecia Chapman of Chattanooga, Ricky and Melanie Chapman, William "Billy" and Wendy Chapman all of Dalton, Shawn Chapman of Chatsworth, Creed and Mia Chapman of New Sharpy, LA., Shelby Mashburn of Resaca, Linda Chapman Sattler of Chattanooga, and several great nieces and nephews that she counted as her children.
Funeral Services will be Monday 11 am in the Chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday 5 till 8 pm.
The family wants to thank the staff at Ridgewood Manor Nursing Home for the loving care that they showed Polly during her stay there. She loved many of them as family.
