Paul Leonard Timms

Mr. Paul Leonard Timms, of Crandall, went home to be with the Lord, October 15, 2021, at Advent Health Gordon Hospital. He was born on April 29, 1937, the son of the late Grady and Annie Baynes Timms. He is preceded in death by his sister Janette Timms Robinson.

He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was very proud to have been a 1956, graduate of Murray County High School. He was an avid hunter, He loved camping with his family and watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren participate in sports, and loved Georgia Football. He and Betty Sue loved to keep the North Murray Area roads hot especially Little Murray.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Sue Arthur Timms of the residence: sons and daughters in law, Ricky and Jennifer Timms, Tim and Celeste Timms both of Crandall: daughter and son in law, Rhonda and Chris Bryant of Dalton: grandchildren, Hailey Bryant Stanley, (Shane) Colby Bryant, ( Katie) Zach Timms ( April)
Karli Timms, Eli, and Lily Timms: great-grandchildren Bryant, Cohutta, Sailor, Silo Stanley, Tymber and River Bryant, Jozie and Delilah Timms: sisters Mildred Timms Hurst, Janell Timms Robinson, Mary Jane Timms Thomas: brother Clyde Timms and host of nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service for Mr. Timms will be Tuesday, October  19, 2021, at the Calvary Baptist Church at 4 pm with Pastor Curt Thomason, Rev. Larry Chastain, and Rev. Ed Kilgore officiating. Interment will be at the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at  Calvary Baptist Church from 12 pm to the funeral hour.
