Michael Arnold “Pic” Pittman, age 68, of Chatsworth, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.
Michael was a proud member of the Good Samaritan Baptist Church; he loved his church family. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is preceded by his parents, Arnold “Sport” and Rowena Sanford Pittman; and brother-in-law, Michael “Mike” Mathis.

He is survived by his daughter, Christy Sturgill of Ooltewah, sister Brenda Pittman Mathis of Chatsworth; granddaughters, Presley (Alex) Glover, Kaylon (Aaron) Bennett; great-grandchildren, Maddox, and Olivia Glover, Asher Welch, and Creed Hawkins; special girlfriend/ caregiver, Kay Pharr; Several Cousins and Friends also survive.

A service to honor the life of Michael Arnold “Pic” Pittman will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 3 pm in the Chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Ledford officiating. The interment will be in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or a donation can be made to The Good Samaritan Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 1 pm to 3 pm.
