He is preceded in death by his father, James Joseph Malia; brothers James Robert Malia, and Joseph Phillip Malia. sister, Jennifer Malia Stricklin.
He is survived by his wife; Brenda Malia of Dalton; mother Mary Payne of Alabama; step-daughter, Derella Holcomb of Resaca; grandsons and spouse, Zarek and Destiny Gill of Resaca and Bradon Gill of Calhoun; brother, Tom Malia of Colorada.
