Melissa Annette "Dawn" Lingerfelt, age 59 of Chatsworth passed away, November 20, 2021.
Preceded in death by her parents, Billy Joe and Josephine Lingerfelt.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dallas, and Brittney York of Chatsworth Joshua and Crystal Holland of Adairsville, London York of Chatsworth: grandchildren, Bentley and Riley York of Chatsworth, Mackenzie, and Haley Holland of Adairsville, Eli York of Chatsworth: sister Cheryl Lingerfelt of Decatur, brother, and sister-in-law Billy and Lisa Lingerfelt of Lafayette: niece and nephew Liam and Lira Lingerfelt
Melissa was born and raised in Fort Oglethorpe GA. She attended Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe and Ringgold High School She then worked for a number of years as a Caregiver. She was deeply dedicated to her patients and their families, providing the care and support needed for others as they faced the difficult needs of long-term care. Her passion in life though was truly her children and grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at 11 am in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Jackie Ellington officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, from 5 pm to 9 pm
