Matthew Emery Townsend Obituary
Matthew Emory Townsend, age 41, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Matt was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and a great family man.
He is preceded in death by his father, Randall Eugene Townsend, grandparents, John Vernon and Gertha Lee Banks, Mary Louise Elliott, and Emory Townsend.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Townsend; children, Chloe and Eli Townsend; mother and stepfather, Debra and Lebo Foster; sister and niece, Joanna and Lillie Cross; aunt, Dianne Banks Brown and family; uncle, Terry Banks; and his beloved family pet “Lucky”.
A service to honor the life of Matthew Emory Townsend will be at 1 pm Saturday, November 25, 2023, in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Clark officiating. The interment will be in the Banks Cemetery in Ellijay GA. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral on Friday, November 24, 2023 from 5 p m to 8 p m
