Mary Ellen Dills, age 75, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Thursday, October 30, 2025, to be with the Lord.

She is preceded by her parents, Eli and Lizzie Coram; daughter, Daphane Sue Rogers; brothers, Grover, Robert, Willie, and Ray Coram; sisters, Erlene Wright, Nina Coram, Lily Evans, Evelyn Cochran, Ruth Goley, Betty Coram; and granddaughter, Whitney Shoemaker.

She is survived by her children, Tony and Peggy Rogers, Angela and Randy Shoemaker, Ronda and Richard Payne; grandchildren, Daniel Rogers, Curtis and Kayla Shoemaker, Labron and Kimberly Shoemaker, Heaven and Evan Long, Vada Shoemaker, Isaiah Shoemaker, Jerry Lee Kendrick, Mason Eugene Smith, Kayanne Jezzie Smith, Zarah Megan Lasha Amos; several great grandchildren, brother, Clarence Coram.

A service to honor the life of Mary Ellen Dills will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with pastor Dewayne Payne and Robin Nelson officiating. The interment will be in the Immanuel United Fellowship Ministries Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and also on Tuesday, November, 4,2025, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
