Doyal Pickelsimer, age 86, of Chatsworth, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his family.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dallas and Millie Pickelsimer: sisters, Dorothy Corn, Hattie Chastain, Irene Cochran, Vonell Stanley, Beulah Pickelsimer
Survived by his loving Wife of 66 Years, Corrine Pickelsimer: children and spouses, Barbara Coram of Cohutta, Lloyd and Deanna Pickelsimer of Chatsworth: grandchildren Donna Allen, April Hollums, Robin Wheat, Crystal Crooke, and Trevor Pickelsimer: sister Betty Corn of Blue Ridge: brother, Burless Pickelsimer of Chatsworth, sister, Matalee Miller of Hiawassee brother, William Pickelsimer of TN. several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Mr. Pickelsimer will be Friday, November 20, 2020,.at 2 PM, in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Kelly officiating. Interment will be at Mt Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 5 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, November 19, 2020.
