Linda Kay Tapp, age 74, of Menlo, Georgia passed away on January 5, 2025.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ernest Dean Tapp (Bud); momma Betty Jo Bishop; daddy William Mofie Smith; and daughter Tiny Lou Champion.
She is survived by her children, Charles Champion of Summerville, Buddy Dewayne Langley of Summerville, Sheila Faye Langley of Menlo, and Gladys” Missy”(Tommy) Slaughter of Dalton; siblings, Wanda(Lamar) Champion of Anniston AL, Carolyn Reed of Lincoln AL, Joyce(Terry) Bryant of Summerville GA, Patricia Mathey of Summerville GA, William Smith of Lincoln AL, Leonard Smith of Summerville GA, David Smith of Summerville GA, Thomas(Tammy) Searcy Summerville GA; 16 grandkids; 18 great grandkids; special friend Mr. Ed Harris of Menlo and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Linda Kay Tapp will be held on January 8, 2025, at 2 pm in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Mr. Ed Harris speaking. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on January 7, 2025, from 5 pm to 8 pm. The interment will be at Center Valley Baptist Church cemetery.
