Linda Sue Brown age 78 of Dalton went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 22, 2026.
She was born in Dalton, Ga on January 21, 1948 as the daughter of A.V. and Beatrice Peek Shipman. She was a member of Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing guitar and singing with her family.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband C.L. Brown; brothers Rellmond(Rooster) and David Floyd Shipman; sisters Annie Jones, Bonnie Height, and Mary Fransis Powell; and son in law Brian Ethridge.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law Floyd(Katie) Cloer; daughter Nena Etheridge; grandchildren Trevor(Braylon) Cloer, and Chris(Christy) Cloer; great grandchildren Audrey and Lainey Cloer; sister Margie Mathis; several nieces nephews also survive.
A celebration of life will be held Monday July 27, 2026 at 2pm at Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Tarvin officiating. The family will receive friends on July 27, 2026 at the church from 12pm to 2pm.
