Mrs. Lillian “Cat” Johns, 97, of Dalton Ga passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on October 15, 2024.
She is preceded in death by her parents Tom and Alice Hall; her husband James Howard Johns; son, Thomas Johns; and grandson Andy Johns.
She is survived by her daughters-in-law Betty Johns and Tody Bisbee(Jack); granddaughter Jill Wagner(David); granddaughter-in-law Neicy Sheffield; grandchildren Corey Roddy and Tiffany Unger(Greg); great-grandchildren Nicole Johns, Shea Garrett(Blake), Drew Johns(Amber), David Wagner(Holli), and Brynn Wagner; great-great-grandchildren Bryleigh, Brantley, Beckett, Adelaide, Finley, and Olivia; special nieces and nephews, Elaine Powell, Nelson Hall(Missy), Tommy Hall, Jean Hall, Brenda Hall, David Hall, Ned Hall(Carol), and Randy Hall; special caregiver Richard Wagner(Pap Pap); and lots of other special friends and family.
The family is very thankful for the nurses with Amedisys Hospice.
Lillian was a very well-known lady in the community for the start of her restaurant, Johns BBQ in Dalton, GA.
Anyone who has ever had an encounter with Lillian immediately felt loved and like family. She was Grannie to ALL and will be greatly missed.
A service to honor the life of Lillian Johns will be held on Sunday October 20, 2024 at 3PM in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Chris Ross officiating. The internment will be in Treadwell cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on October 20, 2024 from 1PM to 3PM.
