Katheryn “Doney” East, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon East; parents, Sweed and Arlene Rymer; brothers, Robert, Don, Ronnie, and Randy Rymer; nephew, Ashton Rymer; best friends, Shirley Brindle and Gina Crump.

She is survived by her children and spouses; Jeff and Tammy Miles, Anthony and Pam Miles, and Marvin Boring; grandchildren and spouses, David and Kristen Miles, Andrew and Amber Miles, Dahlia Jasmine Arriasola, Tricia and Josh Tussing, Todd and Emily Miles, Bridget and Matthew Corbin and Nicholas Boring; great grandchildren, Tatum, Nolan, and Clay Miles, Waylon and Juddson Tussing, Mayme Miles, Walker and Amelia Corbin and soon to arrive, Ella Katheryn Corbin; brothers Gene Rymer and Brian and Stacy Rymer; sister Shirley Davenport; best friend  Weigie Crowley Ferner; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

A service to honor the life if Doney East will be 11 am Friday, April 25, 2025, in the Chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Gene Rymer, Rev. Randy Jackson, and Robbie Chastain officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday. April 24, 2025, from 5 PM to 9 PM.
