Judy Ann Hudson Burgess, age 69, went home to be with the Lord, on Sunday, January 28, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Delma Hudson, brothers, Ernest Jr. and Ruth Ann Hudson, Douglas and Woody Hudson, and father-in-law, Morris Burgess.

She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, James Burgess; children, and spouses. Chrissie and Rodney Deal and Matt and Lorie Burgess; grandchildren, Briar Deal, Charity (TJ) Howington, Courtney (Robert) Villagomez, Shelby (Jake) Dawson; great-grandchildren; Sawyer Howington, Emory Howington, Koa Villagomez, and Violet Villagomez. mother-in-law, Martha Jo Burgess; sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and S.J. Witherow; sister-in-law, Janie Hudson, sisters in law and brothers-in-law, Gail and Jerry Durham, Maxine and Danny Laney, and brother in law, Kenneth Burgess; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews also survive.

A service to honor the life of Judy Ann Hudson  Burgess will be at 4 pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, in the Chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Jermey Southers officiating. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 12 pm to 4 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shing Light Baptist Church. 801 North  5Th Avenue Chatsworth GA 30705 in honor of Judy Ann Burgess.
