Mr. John Edward Brown, age 78, of Chatsworth passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023. 

John served proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Vietnam era.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Carolyn Brown; granddaughter, Angel Taylor; brothers, David, George, Elmer, and Fred Brown; sisters, Ruth Cross, Louise Lawson, Katherine Brown; sons-in-law, Ronnie Owens and Otis Owens.

Survived by his loving wife, Wanda Brock Brown, children, and spouses, Delinda Owens ( William Tussing), Barbara Worth  (William), Abigail Silvers (Timothy),  Elaine Brown, Vivian Wolfe (Robbie); brothers and sisters-in-laws, Frank and Charlene Brown, Richard and Vickie Brown, Randy and Lilly Brown, Ernest and Linda Brown and Joe and Becky Brown;  sister, Carolyn (Pinkie) and David Cagle; sister in laws and brothers in laws, Betty and Jim Crawford, Syble Pendergrass, Ben Burgess, Winnie Brock; twelve grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, three great-great- grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. 
A service to honor the life of John Edward Brown will be Saturday at 1 pm in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Pastor David Owens. The interment will be at the Center Valley Cemetery. 
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 7, 2023, from 5 pm to 9 pm.
