Jesse Bernard Underwood Sr. Obituary
Mr. Jesse Underwood Sr. went home to be with the Lord on October 16, 2024.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Pauline Underwood; and his brother, William “Bill” Underwood Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Hunt(Kenny); granddaughter, Kayley “Katidid” Harris(Randall Carnes); grandsons, Austin Scott and Zach Hunt; sons, Eddie Underwood and Jesse Underwood Jr.; great-grandchildren, Maci Brooke, Emryn “Emmy-Lou” Grier, Margot Hunt; and grandchildren, Gauge and Tessa Underwood.
He was a former member of Old Time Way Baptist Church. He was a truck driver for most of his life and enjoyed bull riding and playing the guitar. He never met a stranger and was a great father, grandfather, and friend. He was one of the last of the real cowboys.
A service to honor the life of Jesse Underwood Sr. will be held in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home on October 18, 2024, at 3 pm, with Brother Mickey Sisk officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on October 18, 2024, from 12 to 3 pm.
