Jason "Jay" Holsinger, age 37, of Oceanside, CA, formally of Chatsworth, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019, in Oceanside.

Jay loved his family and friends and his dog, Layla. He was a talented musician who could play any instrument. He wrote, sang, and played all instruments when he recorded his own songs. Jay enjoyed writing poetry, drawing, and painting. He was a free spirit who enjoyed life. Some of Jay's own recordings will be played at his funeral.

Jay is survived by mother, Melody Tenney of Chatsworth; sisters, Melody (Bron) McDaniel of Chatsworth, Lori Hill of Dalton, and Cassidy Holsinger of Harrisonburg VA; brother, Corey Holsinger of Harrisonburg, VA; grandmother, Armetha Tenney of Chatsworth; aunts, Sherry Flack and Tammie Hall, both of Chatsworth, Christina Phillips of Benton TN, and HollyTutwiter of Bridgewater VA; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 10. 2019 at 6:00 PM in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Ronnie Childers and Valerie Childers officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
