James "Papaw Jim" Floyd Stewart Obituary

James “Papaw Jim” Stewart, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 24, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.


He will be reunited with his loving wife Margaret Stewart, his parents Ellis and Martha Stewart, sisters Ann Doran and Jennie Pruit, and brothers Bud (Diane) Stewart and Ellis Stewart.


He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Margaret(Marshall) Pangle of Cohutta; son Charles Henderson of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Amber(Chase) Winkler, Jocelyn(Austin) Owen, Jody(Holly) Henderson, Michael Henderson, Michelle Henderson, and Madison Pangle; great-grandchildren Brystol, Eli, Lawson, and Brantlee Winkler, Ledger Owen, Tyler and Kinsey Henderson, Brent, Kyle, and Dysan Henderson, Tatyana Banks, Motre Henderson, and Jamirrah Thomas; and great-great-granddaughter, Mavy Henderson. Several nieces nephews and cousins also survive.


A service to honor the life of James Floyd Stewart will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home, with Reverend Jack Sanford and Mike Winkler officiating. The interment will be at Murray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 5pm to 8pm.
