James Kirkland Obituary

James Leonard Kirkland, age 64, passed away on Monday, September 13th at Hamilton Medical Center. He leaves behind his wife Ila Kirkland, his brother Tommy, son and daughter in law Dave and Natasha Kirkland: son Mark Kirkland, and daughter and son in law, Jennifer and Jermy Balog.

Mr. Kirkland was born in Rockwood, Tennessee. He was one of six children: Ronnie, Donnie, Tommy, Brenda and Caroline. He grew up in Dalton, Georgia and called Dawnville home as an adult.

His greatest treasures in life are his grandchildren: Ellie, Judd, Spencer, Aubrey, and Teddy.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Sims, stepfather Junior Sims, father Virgil Kirkland: brothers Ronnie and Donnie Kirkland: sisters Brenda and Carolyn Kirkland.

The family plans to have a viewing and graveside service later this week. To all of those who knew Mr. Kirkland, the family covets your prayers.
