James Jordan Obituary

Mr. James Jordan went home to be with the Lord at his home on June 21, 2025, one week after the passing of his loving wife of 47 years.


He is preceded in death by his wife, Sheree Jordan; parents, JT and Rachel Jordan; three brothers, Jerry, Winston, and Troy (Sharon) Jordan; sister, Melissa Thomas; and father-in-law, Jimmy Carlton.


He is survived by his children Michelle Spence, Rocky(Hilton) Brindle, Brent Jordan, and David Smith; sisters Joyce(Jackie) Brooker, Kathryn(Tony) McBrayer, and Teresa(Frankie) Tomlinson; brother in law David Thomas; mother in law Lois Carlton; grandchildren Sheena Spence, Cody(Elizabeth) Spence, and Avery Jordan; great grandchildren Logan Spence, Lanie Spence, Brecken Spence, and Dillon Spence; lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.


In James’ own words, he had had a great life, was very proud of all of his kids, and his favorite place to be was on his back porch seeing his pastures, his horse,s and his barns.


A service to honor the life of James Jordan will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Joyce Brooker and BJ Swanson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home before the service from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Interment will be held at Casey Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Logan Spence, Avery Jordan, Clint Thomas, Shane Jordan, Jake Brooker, BJ Swanson, Dean Wilmoth, and Anthony Robinson.
