James Thurman Bryant

Mr. James Thurman Bryant, age 78, of Dalton, passed away on September 2, 2019, at his residence.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Milburn John and Pauline Mae Painter Bryant, brother: Charlie Kenneth Bryant, daughter-in-law: Joyce Powell and granddaughter: Misty Grayson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years:  Janet Bryant,  children and spouses: Holly and Grady Hale of Jacksonville, FL., Charlotte Powell of Dalton, Chris and Danna Bryant of Chatsworth, Anthony and Angie Powell of Whitwell, TN., Sandy and Jamie Powell of Austin, TX., grandchildren: Brittany and Chris Wright, Jada Bryant, Jessica Bryant, Skyler Smith, Phillip Powell, Zachary and Charelle Powell, Caitlyn and Michael Seipel,  great-grandchildren: Drayden, Kirra, Brentley, Alona, Melody, Taylor, Tori, Kynlee, Carlee, brothers and sisters and spouses  Coleman and Rose Bryant of Colombia, OH., Barbara Young of Cape Canaveral, FL., Hazel and Martin Kirby of Dalton, Larry and Paulette Bryant of Stockbridge, Jimmy and Mary Bryant Chatsworth, Harold Bryant of Deland, FL. and Deborah Cooper of Adairsville.

Thurman lived a full and happy life and spent his best years at home on the mountain with his family and friends. At his request, he will be cremated with no service. Respects and condolences can be made at the family home.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the local VA or Hospice.
