Jacob “Jake” Evans Thomason, age 27, of Chattanooga TN went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

Jake was born in Dalton, GA, on December 27, 1996, the son of Joey Lee Thomason and Miranda Lynn Mikaelsen Thomason. He graduated from Murray County High School where he enjoyed playing tennis. Jake graduated from Northwest GA Technical College as an honor student in welding. He was employed with Roadtec as a welder.  Jake loved his trip with his mother to London and Paris in May. He will be remembered for having a big heart and loving others.

His grandmother, Janice Nichols; and grandfather, Bill Thomason, preceded him in death.

Jake is survived by his loving parents, Joey  Lee and  Miranda Lynn Mikaelsen Thomason of Resaca; grandmother, Patricia Wheat of Cohutta; aunt and uncle, Danielle and Matt Pino of Long Island NY; Stacy and Stephanie Nichols of Chatsworth; several cousins also survive.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 2 pm in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Kara M. Russell officiating, with former Tennis Coaches and friend, Gary Quast and Garrett Sanford speaking. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after the service.
