Hugh Parker Obituary

Mr. Hugh Don Parker, age 88, of Dalton, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020, at Advent Health in Calhoun.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Peggy Parker: parents, Willard and Leola Parker, brothers Elbert, Earnest, Grady and Kenneth Parker, sisters, Pearl Pratt, JoAnn Plancer, Bonnie Ledford, and Jimmie Lou McDowell.

Mr. Parker is survived by his son and daughter in law, Eddie and Kim Parker of Dalton: grandchildren, Michael Parker of Dalton, Misty and Eric Viars of Dalton: great-grandchildren, Rylan and Dylan Viars also of Dalton: love of his life, Jenevelyn Avirett of Dalton: sister, Betty Wilson of Dalton and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Mr. Parker will be on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at 2 PM, in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev Edwin Puckett and Susan Tankersley officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 until 2 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in United Memorial Garden..
