Mr. Hugh Dorsey Blake, Jr., age 80, of Dalton, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at Hamilton Medical Center.

Mr. Blake was a member of Olivia Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army from 1963-1965.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh, Sr. and Mamie Blake: sister, Katie Ellis and brother, Billy Blake.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joyce Henry Blake of the residence: children and spouse, Keith Blake of Dalton, Lori and Reed Johnson of Dalton: grandchildren, Elliott Johnson and Brayden Johnson. Nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service for Mr. Blake will be on Wednesday, April 21, at 1 PM in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. John Everett officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 until 9 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Whitfield Memorial Garden.
