Obituary

Florida Gail (Stocksick) Cooper, age 76, departed this life Sunday, September 4, 2022, while at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton GA. Florida, originally from Tampa FL called McCaysville GA. her home for the last thirty-three years. She was an avid Braves fan, loved decorating for the holidays, and spent much of her time watching Little House on the Prairie and the Waltons on television.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elizabeth and Robert Stocksick; twin sister Linda Fackelman; great-granddaughter, Emily Dollar; cherished friend Joni Kyle; loving animal companion, Pattycake.
Ms. Cooper is survived by her children, Michael Smith of East Palatka FL. Michelle (Steve) Furjes of West Point VA. Timothy (Mary Sue) Smith of Crandall, Sherry Smith of Ducktown TN; grandchildren, Christopher Zorn of West Point VA, Brittany Smith of  Success GA, Tiffany Smith of Copperhill TN, Kelly Zorn ( Dave) Weirup of West Point VA, Donavan Smith of Ducktown TN, step-grandson, Abram Smith of Crandall GA; great-grandchildren, Preston Dollar, Peyton Smith, Shawn Lemon, Olivia Zorn, Chandler Zorn, Lila Swafford, Laci Swafford; siblings Bobby Stocksick,of FL, Ann Shriver of AL; special friend Carolyn Lowery.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Ms. Florida Gail (Stocksick) Cooper will be held later with family and friends.
