Mrs. Elveda Marie Smith, age 93, of Cisco, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward H Smith, Sr: sons, Edward H Smith, Jr., Eugene Smith, Sammy Smith, Steve Smith, and Don Smith:  grandsons, Steven Smith and Cody Banks.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Joseph Smith of Cisco: daughters and son-in-law, Loreen and David Banks, Sr., of Talking Rock, Nettie Griggs of Ellijay daughters in law, Katherine Smith of Cisco and Shirley Day of Chatsworth: grandchildren, Shelia Smith, Barry Ensley, Kelley Rogers, Shange Smith, Chris Haggard, Darnaise Smith, Micheal Smith, Don Smith, Jr., Candy Smith, David Banks, Jr., Edward Elkins, Tommy Banks, Casey Banks, Misty James,  Mark Griggs, and Edward H Smith III: several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren,  nieces, and nephews.

The funeral service for Mrs. Smith will be Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 3 pm in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with David Ernest Banks, Jr. officiating.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 PM until the funeral at 3 pm.  The interment will be in the Smith Family Cemetery in Cisco. Pallbearers are  Casey Banks, Tommy Banks, Mark Griggs, Edward Elkins, Edward Smith and Gavin Smith.
