Elnor Henderson
(February 9, 1942 – January 13, 2026)


Elnor Henderson, lovingly known as “Granny” or “Mamaw,” went peacefully surrounded by her family on January 13, 2026. Born on February 9, 1942, Elnor was a simple woman with an abundance of love to give. She cherished her family deeply and loved the Lord with all her heart.


She was a devoted member of A Place to Worship Church.


Elnor was preceded in death by her father William “Bill” Lawson and Mother Maggie Gregory Lawson Painter of Fonde, Kentucky; her beloved husband of 47 years, Charles E. Henderson Sr.; her oldest son, Charles E. Henderson Jr.; and her daughter, Mary Lynn Henderson.


She is survived by her children: Mark Henderson Sr. (Donna) Bridget Leonard (Michael) Tracy Henderson (Heather) Mark Henderson Jr. (Jessica)


Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Jerry Pless(Terrah), Justin Baird, Kayla Kendrick, Jordan Henderson, Amanda Henderson, Buddy Henderson, Anita Burak, Savannah Roper, Christopher Henderson, Derrick Henderson, Beverly Henderson, Maribeth Henderson, Rebecca Carter; step-grandchildren Amy Swafford, Courtney Edgeworth, Lindsey Hailey; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews who also survived her.


A funeral service to honor the life of Elnor Henderson will be held at  A Place to Worship Church, January 16, 2026, at 3:00 PM, with Pastor Jeff Johnson, The interment will be in the Liberty Tabernacle Cemetery. The family will recieve friends  at the church  ( A Place to Worship) from from 1pm to 3 pm 


Elnor will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her love for family, and her gentle spirit that touched everyone she met.
