Elizabeth Joan Keener, age 84, of Chatsworth, passed away April 22, 2021, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Elizabeth was a member of Old Time Way Church, in which she loved and they loved her.
Preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Maryjane Nicholson: sons, Darrell and Dennis Howel: sisters, Lois Nicholson, Clara Jones: brothers, Wayne, John, Marshall, and Rev. George Nicholson.
She is survived by her husband, of 59 years, Leonard Keener, of the residence. Daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jim Schmeltz; sons and daughters-in-law; Donald and Jada Howell, and Kenneth and Rena Gail Keener all of Chatsworth; sister and brother-in-law Fannie and Gene Hooker of Dalton; sister Frances Lawson of Oneita, TN; and brother Richard Nicholson of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Candy Cloer, Nathan Howell, Chanda Bartley, Faith McDonald, Mathew Schmeltz, Alisha Scott, and Brandon Howell. Great-grandchildren Corbin Southern, Braycen Ashe, Joesph Hogan, Tesslyn Ashe, Jerney Seabolt, Savannah Lawson, Jordan Lawson, Dayne Sisson, and Kiley Howell : great-great-grandchildren Presleigh Southern, Elaina Lawson.
Funeral Services for Mrs.Keener will be Sunday, April 25, 2021, in the Chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home at 2 pm with Rev. Kevin Self and Rev. Brian Winkler officiating with interment at Center Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, April 24, 2021, from 5-9 pm.
