Obituary
Edna Earl Turner Young, age 84, of Chatsworth, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Paul and Idell Turner; brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Carolyn Turner; brother James Turner.
Survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Maynard Young, son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Laura Young of Chatsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Adam Sluder of Marietta; grandchildren, Justin, Travis, Ryan, Lynsey, Alison Young, Maisie, and Myles Sluder; sister-in-law, Linda Turner, of Louisville KY; several nieces and nephews and cousins, also survive.
Mrs. Young was a lifetime member of Spring Place Baptist Church, in charge of the nursery at age 13, and taught Sunday school at age 16. A charter member of the Chatsworth Pilot Club and a member of the Bird and Garden Club of Dalton.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Edna Earl Young will be Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 4 pm at Spring Place Baptist Church, with Ronald Guffey and Tim Batchelor officiating. Interment will be at Spring Place Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 22, 2022, from 5 pm to 8 pm.
