Douglas Ray Dillard, age 68 of Chatsworth, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, December 19, 2025.
Douglas left a legacy of being an avid fisherman and sports enthusiast. He loved all sports, especially Georgia Football “GO Dawgs.” he played football for the Murray County Indians in the 70’s. He coached and played softball. What he was known for the most was his love for his family,
He is preceded in death by his parents, Maudie and William “Billy” Dillard, and brother, Doyle Dillard.
He is survived by his wife, Renita Dillard, children and spouses, Summer and Chris Favors, Stephanie Taylor and Michael Medders, Crystal Morgan and Amanda Sexton; Douglas and Brittany Dillard; brother Richard Dillard; grandchildren, Austin Nichols, Dalton and Lauren Nichols, Lindsey Favors and Blake Favors; Sydney Taylor, Jocelynn Deal, Tyler, Declan and Raelyn Dillard; great grandchildren, Roman and Peyton Black and Lennon Nichols.
A private memorial service to celebrate the life of Doug Dillards is being planned for a future date.
