Donald Young

Donald Young, age 82, of Chatsworth, passed away on Friday, 8, 2022, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Donald served as pastor of Maranatha Baptist Church in Chatsworth for 41 years..

He is preceded in death by his parents, Kirby and Lucy Young: brothers and sisters, John Young, Clayton Young, Bo Young, Ernest Young, J.P. Young, Maggie Cagle and Maebelle Cruse.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eva Mae Young: sons and daughters in laws, Dwayne and Lisa Young of Chatsworth, Lamont and Nita Young of Eton:  3 grandchildren and spouses,. Ryan and Kelly Young, Brandon and Michelle Young, Heather and Zac Williams: great-grandchildren, Ella, Huxley, Raegan and Xander.

The funeral service will be on Sunday, April 10, at 2 PM at Maranatha Baptist Church with Rev Danny Jenkins, Vernon Reese and Sam Dillard officiating.  Interment will be in the Maranatha Baptist Church Cemetery.   The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 9 from 4 until 8 PM at Shawn Chapman Funeral Home.
