Dolores Joi Dunn, age 89, passed away March 27, 2026, in Dalton, GA. She was born in Poughkeepsie, Arkansas to Robert and Julia Lashley on August 12, 1936. Joi lived in Memphis, TN most of her life. She graduated from Memphis Tech high school. She was a Hairdresser for 60 years, and retired at age 82. God gave her the gift to touch people’s lives with her hands. She was a caregiver herself, helping many people, family, and friends, when called upon. She was very dependable in work and in her life. She attended Christ The King Lutheran Church in Memphis TN. Joi is preceded by her parents and 10 siblings. She is survived by her son Karl (Cathy) Dunn of Germantown, TN, grandson Nick Dunn of Blacksburg, VA, sister Jupie Joiner and Gree Joiner of Dalton, GA and brother Phillip Lashley of Jonesboro, AR. She is also survived by several special nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Joi’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt Thank You to all the Caregivers that were a tremendous help in the last few months of her life, especially her sister Jupie Joiner and her niece Talli Williams, Tiger Wagner, Luke Wagner, and London Wagner. Memorials may be made to Christ The King Lutheran Church, Memphis, TN. Mt. Rachel Baptist Church Dalton, GA or The Humane Society of Northwest GA, Dalton, GA. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
