Gene Beavers, age 59,of Dalton went home to be with the Lord, peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends on October 12,2025.

Gene had a deep love for the outdoors and a knack for fixing just about anything. Under the hood, sitting in a tree stand, or porch sittin' with the grandkids, he was happiest when he had good company and a project to work on. He'll be remembered by all for his willingness to lend a helping hand (or just take over when he's tired of waiting). Gene will be missed by all who ever met him, and we look forward to seeing him again. 

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. Derris and Susie Smith, and Runell and Kenneth Eugene Beavers.

He is survived by his loving wife, Vivian Garner Beavers, his children, Cody and Corey Beavers, Tyler Beavers, Austin and Megan Kelly and Daniel Garner; grandchildren, Lukas and Presley Kelly, Skyler Westbrook; mother, Linda Grace Eubanks; father and step-mother, Roy and Sylvia Beavers, father in law, Bobby Garner; sister Amanda Hope Attkins; uncle, Lamar Beavers; cousins, Kenny and Scott Beavers, Ricky and Steve Pattons.

A funeral service  to honor the life of Gene Beavers will be 11 am Wednesday October  15,2025 in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with pastor Alan Ledford and John Holladay officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on October 14th 2025 from 5pm till 9pm. Interment will be at Smyrna Baptist Church cemetery.
