David George Wells, age 76, of Chatsworth, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Willie Mae Wells, his brother-in-laws, Bobby Humble, and Dwayne Grice.

He is survived by sisters Peggy Humble, Patricia Ruth McCoy (Willie Boyd), and Edwina Grice of Newnan, Georgia. Several nieces and nephews,great-nieces and nephews, also survive.

David was among the first graduating classes of Dalton College. He was an avid reader and often thought of as a "walking encyclopedia, especially when it came to planes, guns, radios, and motorcycles. 

Interment will be in the West Hill Cemetery in Dalton, and a private service is planned for a later date.
