David Paul Cox Obituary

Our beloved brother and daddy, David Paul Cox, left us peacefully after a lengthy
health decline on the evening of July 19th at the age of 70.

David was a proud welder and boilermaker by trade until his retirement. He put
many long hours and miles on his body. He loved his Georgia Bulldogs and was
a faithful DAWG, NASCAR, and Atlanta Braves fan to the end.

David joins his much loved parents, Paul and Minnie Ruth Cox, brother Glen D
Cox, grandparents, Eunice Greeson and Robert Earl Cox, “Big Daddy”. Many
special aunts and uncles preceded as well.

Leaving to cherish his memory is his daughter, Darice Gentry (Tim) of Harriman,
TN, granddaughters, Sheridan Gentry and Saila Phillips, great grands, Cali and
Cole; son, David W Cox and granddaughter, Adrianna Cox; sister, Karen Cox
Jones (Larry) and stepson, RJ Rivera of MS. David is also survived by special
nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Our family would like to thank staff members of Traditions Hospice and
caregivers Elaine and Devan, and cousins Eddie and Jerry for their patient and
loving care of David.

David’s request was to be cremated and no formal service. A private interment
will be held at a later date. David would ask that you take a ride through the
mountains or go fishing in his memory to remember him as you knew him when
he enjoyed life.
