David "Dewey" Colter

Dewey Colter, age 53 of Crandall, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Hamilton Medical Center.

Dewey is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Colter: brother Lamar " Hogg" Colter: maternal grandparents Rev. James and Minnie Bowen: paternal grandparents, Dewey Colter and Mildred Wilbanks: father-in-law Bert Fouts.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lynn Colter: sons Ethan Colter, Austin Colter: mother, Pauline Colter: sister Michelle Colter (Troy Pike), brother and sister in law Shaun and Samantha Colter: special nieces  Hannah Colter and Ashlyn Colter: mother in law Shirley Fouts, brothers in law Gary and Frank Fouts: sisters in law, Alice Fouts, Fredia Patterson ( Sidney), Patricia Martin,(Al Bryson), Redia Gibson (Daniel): several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

The funeral service for Dewey will be Monday, September 13, 2021, at 2 pm in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Davis and Andrew Bowen officiating. The interment will be in the Mt. Carmel  Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 12, 2021, from 5 pm to 9 pm
