David Edward Causby

Mr. David Edward Causby, age 87, of Chatsworth, passed away on January 1, 2023.
David served in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1954 during the Korean War. He started his career in the United States Postal Services at the Dalton Georgia Post Office, served as Postmaster at the Cloudland Georgia, and the last ten years of his career as the Eton Postmaster.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Jean Causby; daughter, Terri Anne Causby; father, Thurman Causby; mother Anna Laura Causby; stepmother, Pauline Causby; brother, Kenneth Fowler; sisters, Louise Causby, Willideane Northsleet, Margie Wise, Yvonne Benner.
David is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Wayne Underwood of Resaca GA, son and daughter in law Kendall and Cindy Causby of Chatsworth GA; grandchildren, April ( Kris) Laney, Tony ( Kristin ) Causby both of Chatsworth GA; Angie Causby (Marissa Snow) of Harrison TN: J.W. Underwood of Calhoun; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Hudson, Griffin, and Abby Causby; brother, Ray Fowler of Jasper TN; several nieces and nephews and cousins also survive.
A service to honor the life of David Causby will be 3 pm Thursday, January 5, 2023 in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home, with Brother Billy Willis and Pastor Dino Bishop officiating. The interment will be in the Sumach Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 10 am to 3 pm.
