Cindi Denise (Stinson) Smith Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Cynthia “Cindi” Denise Stinson Smith, age 64. She passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma, while being lovingly cared for by her daughter, Holly Troutman.

Cindi was born in Dalton, Georgia, to Billy “Whitey” and Frances Stinson. She had a deep love for animals, especially horses, and found great joy in the outdoors. Much of her time was devoted to caring for those she loved most, including her beloved dogs and horses over the years. In her final year, she found special comfort and companionship in her pet skunk, “Teeny Turner,” who brought her great happiness.

She was preceded in death by her father, Billy “Whitey” Stinson, and her grandparents, Fanny Thompson, Jess Bryson, and Rita Taylor.

Cindi is survived by her mother, Frances Stinson of Dalton, GA; her children, Holly (Justin) Troutman of Collinsville, OK, Jason Ridley of Dalton, GA, Brandi Horton of Dalton, GA, and Jarrett Ridley of Collinsville, OK; and four beloved grandchildren, Derrius, Iris, Annaleigha  and Rosslyn. She also cherished her grand-dog, Ten-Ten, whom she loved dearly.

Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Lisa (Stacy) Thomas of Chatsworth, GA, and her brother, Nathan Stinson of Rocky face, GA; as well as her nieces and nephew, Nathan Stinson, Brooke (Richard) Pacheco, and Dr. Heather (Chas) Bishop, along with many beloved great-nieces and nephews.

Cindi held many cherished childhood memories with her family growing up in Rocky Face, GA, including unforgettable Florida vacations, bike rides from dawn to dusk, and Sunday root-beer floats after long days spent working in the family garden.

She also shared a special bond with her cousin, Jerry Bryson of Rocky Face, GA, and her lifelong best friend, Tammy Bradley of Rocky face, GA.

A memorial service will be held on April 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Lakeview Baptist Church, 491 Jackson Lake Road, Chatsworth, GA 30705, with Pastor Donnie Flood officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for final expenses.

Cindi will be remembered for her kind heart, her love of animals, and the simplicity of life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
