Christa "Faye" (Carr) Mashburn

Christa “Faye” Carr Mashburn, age 77, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by the father of her children, Gene Carr; parents, Rev. Robert, and Reathel Ashe Owens; sisters, Brenda Reed, and Barbara James; grandparents, Luther Ashe, and Allie Chastain.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Mashburn; daughters and spouses, Laquita and Scott Henderson, Gwennita and Danny Roberts, and Rhonda and Shawn Martin; grandchildren, Shleigh (Chris) Silvers, Miranda Henderson and Robbie Jackson, Shawnda ( Thomas) Worsham, Cailey Martin (Jacob Stepp) Carrter (Chloe) Roberts, great- grandchildren Harper, Olivia, Finnley and Coleson; brother in laws and sister in laws, Donald James of Dalton, Mary Austin, Doug Carr, Teresa Hargis of Sparta TN, Tommy and Ruth Townsend of Ocoee TN.

A service to celebrate the life of Faye Mashburn will be Saturday, October 21, 2023, in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Henderson and Rev. Danny Roberts officiating. The interment will be in the Serenity Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
