Charles (Chuck) Francis Lawless, 70, of Dalton, GA, passed away on February 15, 2023, after a courageous battle against cancer. Despite the pain endured, Chuck came out a hero and remained strong and kind until the end.
Chuck met the love of his life and long-time partner, Donna Lawless, through mutual friends. There was an instant connection. They celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on April 9, 2022, surrounded by their close family.
In 1970, Chuck graduated from James Monroe High School. Soon after, he got his first job at Dolphin Campers, kickstarting a 50-year career in mechanical handling. After many years of hard work, Chuck retired at the age of 68.
Chuck was predeceased by his parents, George and Alayne, his grandfather (and hero) Francis Charles Powell, grandmother Viola Powell, and sister-in-law, Debbie.
He is survived by his wife, Donna, his daughters, Crissy and Birdie, son-in-law, Richie, grandchildren, Addison, Promise, Hannah, Lacey, Kenneth, Wyatt, Emmett, and Sawyer, great-granddaughters, Rorie and Mollee, sister, Tina and Ray, and brother, George, brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick and Sandy, Jenny, Darrel, and Terri, Janet, and Michael, and many loved nieces and nephews. Chuck was loved by so many, to list them all by name would require a book.
